How to Replace the Hose on a Prolux Upright Vacuum

If you ever need to remove or replace the hose on your Prolux Upright vacuum, whether it be to remove a clog, or to replace a broken or torn hose, this video will take you through the steps to do so.

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

  • Flat head screwdriver

The easiest way to remove the hose from your Prolux upright vacuum is to insert a flat head screwdriver between the back of the vacuum and the hose and pry them apart. The hose should come out fairly easily.

Some models have two screws behind the main cover that will need to be removed first. In that case, once you remove the screws the hose should just pop out.
