How to Replace the Rear Wheel on a Prolux Tritan Vacuum

Accidentally throw your vacuum down the stairs again? Did the rear wheel fall off in the process? Well you’re in luck because in this video we show you how to remove and replace the wheels on the Prolux Tritan Canister Vacuum!

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

Tools

  • Flat head screwdriver

Instructions

The rear wheels of the Prolux Tritan vacuum are held on by three tabs. To get them off you can pull the wheel away from the body a little and stick the screwdriver between the wheel and the body. Then, using the screwdriver, you can pry the wheel off.

To put a new wheel on, get two of the tabs latched.

Then take your flat head screwdriver and push the last tab in.

Now you can just push the wheel the rest of the way on and you’re done!
