When you get your new Prolux CV 12000 the first thing you’ll want to do is unlatch the dirt bin and remove the top motor portion.
Inside the dirt bin you’ll find the exhaust muffler kit, an end cap, and two adapter pieces.
You will use these parts to assemble and attach the muffler and system piping to your central vacuum unit.
The CV 12000 has two inlet ports found on both sides. This makes it easy to hook up on either side, depending on the location of your plumbing.
Some systems use two inlet ports, but most will use only one. The other port will need capped off with the provided end cap if your system only uses one.
You can also use your vacuum’s own suction port, which is found under the flap cover.
You can lift the flap and attach the hose directly to the suction port.
