How to Make Your Hose Fit Better on Prolux 2.0 Vacuums

If you’re having a hard time setting up your new Prolux 2.0, watch this video to see how to easily get your hose connected firmly to your vacuum and wand, so you’ll be ready to go in no time!

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

Tools

  • Heat gun or hair dryer

Instructions

As you can probably tell, the elbow piece of the hose if very tight and difficult to get on the vacuum portion.

Take your heat gun or hair dryer and heat up the plastic elbow piece to where it’s more pliable.

Once it’s adequately heated, push the elbow piece onto the vacuum portion as far as it will go.

You will use this technique on the other end of the hose to make it fit better on the wand as well.

When you insert the wand end into the hose you will need to make sure the lip goes in as well.

Check out this video on how to set up your wands the right way.
