In this video, we show how to assemble and attach the GV Electric Power Nozzle Kit to a backpack vacuum. This kit works with almost any backpack vacuum with a 1 ½” hose.

Important Safety Tips

  • Always make sure your machine is unplugged and the power button is turned off, before servicing your vacuum.
  • Always make sure your hands are dry and free from moisture before servicing your machine.
  • Be sure to wear gloves when servicing your machine to prevent any cuts or scrapes.
  • If you are uncomfortable working on your vacuum, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@greatvacs.com and we can help you through the process or you can send it into us to fix it for you.

When you get the electric power nozzle kit, it will contain a three-way adapter cord, and electric main hose, a main extendable wand, and a GV power head.

Start by taking the three-way adapter and plug one end into the power source on your backpack vacuum.

Take the other end and plug it into your extension cord.

If you haven’t done so already, insert your extendable main wand into your power head.

Take the main hose and attach it to the wand. You may need to push the button lock down to get it to click into place correctly.

Take the power head two-prong cord and plug it into the back of the main hose.

Take the main hose and insert the other end into the backpack vacuum.

Take the three-way adapter cord and plug the two-prong cord into it.

And just like that, you’ve hooked up your GV electric power nozzle to your backpack vacuum!

Now that everything is hooked up, you’re ready to vacuum!

First, extend the extendable wand by pushing upwards on the black button and pulling the wand out.

The release the pivot by pressing down on the foot pedal.

Getting to Know the Prolux CV12000 Central Vacuum

If you’ve recently purchased a Prolux CV12000 Central Vacuum, you’re probably wondering how it all goes together. In this video, we go over the basic assembly and use of this powerful central vacuum unit.

When you get your new Prolux CV 12000 the first thing you’ll want to do is unlatch the dirt bin and remove the top motor portion.

Inside the dirt bin you’ll find the exhaust muffler kit, an end cap, and two adapter pieces.

You will use these parts to assemble and attach the muffler and system piping to your central vacuum unit.

The CV 12000 has two inlet ports found on both sides. This makes it easy to hook up on either side, depending on the location of your plumbing.

Some systems use two inlet ports, but most will use only one. The other port will need capped off with the provided end cap if your system only uses one.

You can also use your vacuum’s own suction port, which is found under the flap cover.

You can lift the flap and attach the hose directly to the suction port.
