Terrible experience w new Tritan canister vacuum

This is the second one we bought on Amazon for two different residences. The first time I used it the back door that holds the HEPA filter inside the canister vacuum blows off repeatedly. Desperate to clean the carpet we taped it closed, trying two different kinds of tape. Sounds crazy, right?

That didn’t work either, so after fussing with it a lot, we got the door to stay shut. That worked for a few times. Then it happened again! Very frustrating. Cannot use it as is.

And of course the 61 day warranty was passed by a few weeks when it happened again. Got busy with life and illness in the family, and now it’s May 26th nearly 3 months since purchase.

Bought on March 1, 2025, it should not do this. It seems defective and we want a full refund and just wrote the manufacturer Prolux in Utah. Will they honor their commitment to 10”% satisfaction? If that means returning and having a new vacuum shipped out, that won’t be good enough. Only a full refund will work after this terrible experience.

Wonderful little vacuum

I love my prolux! It’s just the right size and easy manage. I love the retractable power cord and the metal adjustable wand with the different attachments. So happy to buy a vacuum made in the USA.

This vacuum sucks!

I’m so happy with my Tritan. My carpets are cleaner than I’ve seen in years. The extension makes cleaning hard-to-reach places (14’ ceiling) easy.
I thought I would be dissatisfied with the brush/crevice tool but it’s turned into a great help dusting high trim & beams.
This little vacuum can probably suck the chrome off a red neck’s bumper.”

I vacuum my carpeted floor three times and then with old vacuum. Old vacuum did picked up some. Still happy with Prolux. A lot of suction.
