After using one time the vacuum has a issue when putting it in upright position it won't lock into place.This is the second time I have bought a vacuum from you and something went wrong with it the first day of use I bought two backpack vacuums and the power head stopped working on one of them the first day these vacuums are very expensive and I won't be buying anymore for my business I will go back to using shark vacuums because they hold up to my 150 plus homes that I clean and they are alot cheaper and better quality
I paid top dollar and it broke the first time I used it. It is a piece of junk. Buyer Beware
My product arrived in a damaged box. Rather than replace the machine - which CHIRPS - the company has asked me (a very nontechnical person) to troubleshoot the issue. Not what I expect from an expensive, highly rated product.
Lynn thanks for the review and for posting the pictures! From your pictures we can easily see what is wrong. The good news first. The good news is that Prolux vacuums are very well packaged and even though UPS put it through the ringer the damage to the box did not do anything to the vacuum (where it hit it on the side of the box there is 4 or 5 inches of nothing there so no damage). Now the bad news. Your bottom plate is bent slightly. The reason why you are hearing that sound is most likely the brushroll is rubbing on that. So you can remove your bottom plate (easy takes 10 seconds and no tools required) and straiten it yourself OR drop us an email at service@proluxcleaners.com (with these pictures) and we will send you out a new one. Very easy fix :)
Received my new Prolux Vacuum 7000 a little over 2 months ago. Arrived quickly after ordering and was very easy to assemble. Picks up dirty and debris efficiently. Really like that it's self adjusting for carpet height and floors. It's light weight and maneuvers easily. Only thing I don't like is the placement of the upholstery tool, sticks out just a little too far but, I have learned to adjust.
This is our second Prolux vacuum. Our first was the 8000 model. We use them both in our ABNB. Both models have great suction and are very durable. They hold up well to heavy use. Other things I like are long power cords and the expandable wand for accessory use. Going from the upright to accessory use is quicker and easier with the 7000 as the receiver for the wand is tapered similar to a funnel so you don’t have to be so exact when putting it back in place. When you use attachments as much as we do, that can affect efficiency. The mini turbo head attachment seems to have much more power and does not bog down when in heavy carpet or upholstery as much as other brands do. The only negative to the 7000 is that you cannot shut the roller off if you are doing hard floors. Not usually a big concern for us. As I said, the vacuums have great suction, but if I had to choose its weakest feature, I would say it would be getting peak suction on hard floors. It doesn’t seem like it self-adjusts for optimum air flow to pick up small loose items. Overall, I would recommend this vacuum!
