I have a couple of the backpack vacuums and decided to give the upright 9000 a try. The wheels are super squeaky. Bag is small. Really doesn’t work great on hard floors. Would I buy it again? Probably not. If anything changes, I’ll update my review.
I bought this vacuum do to the fact that it's the closest thing the you can get to the old Simplicity/Riccar 7000/8000 Series Vacuums . They're even manufactured in the same factory that Tacony ( Simplicity's & Riccar's Parent Company ) Ownes or had ties to . I also bought to model due the fact that is the closest thing to the Air-Way Dog n Cat ( AW8700 ). The only deffant things about it is the color, price , and possibly not have a dusting brush made of horse hair . Price of the Air-way is $899. I found My Prolux 9000 on Amazon for $299.99 Now I have worked on and Sold many vacuum . I have also owned many vacuum brand manufactured by Tacony over the years. Riccar, Simplicity, Fuller ( Now Titan ), Carpetpro ( Discontinued ) and love them all . Howeever I don't not recommend the Riccar R25 or R27 Series . The Build Quality is a big joke when is come to the Air-Way/Prolux Upright models . I've also seen another review where some could not find replacement belt for their Prolux. Here's a helpful hint . Prolux Upright models are the same thing as an Air-way ( Even Made In The Same Factory ) . If your local vacuum shop doesn't sale Prolux there's a good chance they sale Air-Way just ask them for a blet for a Air-Way upright . Also the Simplicity, Riccar, Fuller Flat belts will work for these Prolux Upright vacuums . The only thing I dislike about my new Prolux 9000 is that the wheels squeek just only a few days after unboxing it and having been lightly used . Over all this a great vacuum with an old school build . Just wish the wheel did not squeek .
Can't believe that I got so excited over a new vacumn. But it is so light and easy to use. And still being very powerful!!! Luv it

I ordered this since batting mold toxicity it has helped since its not blowing dust back into the air like other vacuums do! I love it! Best purchase ever!
After trying other vacuums, Prolux worked the best on thick plush carpels.
