Prolux CTX PRO Water Filtration Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Paulo Matsui Silveira (Geneva, US)
Not the cheapest, but probably one of the best in the market

After doing a ton of research and cross-referencing results using a few AI-based tools, I narrowed my options down to three brands for water-filtered vacuums: Kärcher, Prolux, and Sirena.

After comparing specs, prices, and reading real user reviews, I ended up going with Prolux — a relatively unknown brand — and honestly, I’m so glad I did.

This vacuum has insanely strong suction power. Paired with the powered head, it makes cleaning way easier and far more efficient than brute force ever could. For context, I’ve been using a seriously powerful (and ridiculously loud) DeWalt shop vac to clean our 90% carpeted home. I even had to wear hearing protection while vacuuming.

Other than the kitchen and bathrooms, the entire house is newly carpeted — we bought it this way and, for the record, we hate it. We plan to replace everything with vinyl planks eventually. But in the meantime, this Prolux vacuum is a game-changer.

Compared to the DeWalt, the Prolux is quieter, but somehow even more effective. The power head lifts the carpet fibers while the suction pulls out dirt and grime that feels like it’s been hiding there for decades. And because it’s water-filtered, the air coming out is noticeably cleaner than what went in — no dust smell, no weird after-vacuum funk.

The dirty water that comes out after each session is honestly shocking (and kind of satisfying). I just flush it down the toilet — it’s that gross. But it’s also proof of how well this thing works.

Now, it’s definitely not a budget vacuum. It’s priced closer to Miele (maybe even a bit more), but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. If you’re willing to invest in a high-quality, deep-cleaning vacuum, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Prolux.

Prolux PLCX8 Backpack Vacuum

I use this vacuum for my cleaning business and it has been nothing but great! Only thing could be better is a different attachment for carpets as the ones it comes with don’t do great on carpets.
